I'm a huge believer in what you think you become. If you think and live positive it will be harder to pull you into the negative, however if you are negative, it will be harder to pull you into the positive. We spend 24 hours of the day in our own heads, what type of thoughts do you feed yourself? For every negative thought you think it takes 4 to counteract it.
We tell our friends their strengths and build them up, why don't we spend that same amount of time building ourselves up. You cannot fill other people's cup if your's is empty.
"You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you, making you spill your coffee everywhere. Why did you spill the coffee? You spilled coffee because there was coffee in your cup, had there been tea in your cup, you would have spilled tea. The point is whatever is inside the cup, is what will spill out. Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will spill out. It' easy to fake it, until you get rattled. So we have to ask ourselves, "What is inside my cup? When life gets tough, what spills out? Joy, gratefulness, peace, humility and positivity? Or does anger, bitterness, harsh words and negative reactions come out? You choose! Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words or affirmation, kindness, gentleness and love for others." -Author Unknown.
